On December 15, 1998 I was born in Cairo, Egypt. I spent about a year there with my friends and family and in June 2000 I came to reside in Canada. Both of my parents are from Ghana, a country in west Africa and it was just by coincidence that I was born in Egypt. People ask all the time If I remember anything but I was so young that my time spent in the uprising country is a blur.
Now I live with my parents Daniel and Elizabeth, my little brother Roy, and my big sister Janice. I consider myself very lucky to have such an amazing family. I can always count on them in times of need and we always have so much fun with each other. They make me a better person by correcting me when I’m wrong and encouraging me when I’m right. In my spare time I like to watch television, read, and hang out with my friends.
I was always a very shy person growing up but I’ve for the most part grown out of it, I am now more able to speak my mind and do as I please. I enjoy watching many sports and play volleyball and do track and field. Sports were one of the things that helped me break out of my shell. I am now a very confident person and I have a bright future planned for myself. I would like to get a scholarship from one of the sports that I play and go to a good university right after I finish high school.
